Renovation Completed for R100 Tokyo “Shiba Shirokane Hills”

2025.07.10 UP

We are pleased to announce the completion of the renovation for Shiba Shirokane Hills, a residence nestled in the tranquil, upscale neighborhood of Shirokanedai—an area rich in greenery and culture, adjacent to Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum and the Institute for Nature Study.

The ceiling is gently curved, allowing natural light from the windows to blend seamlessly with delicate indirect lighting. This combination creates a soft, ambient glow and nuanced shadows that gently envelop the entire space.

Carefully selected materials in calm, muted tones were used for the walls and flooring. By harmonizing these elements in both color and texture, we aimed to create a refined and serene living environment.

“HAMANOYU Edo-Yu” Grand Opening

2025.04.20 UP

We are pleased to announce the opening of “HAMANOYU Edo-Yu”, a new compact public bathhouse designed and supervised by Kubo Tsushima Architects, on Monday, April 21, 2025, in Nihonbashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.

Offering just the right warmth, the right amount of space, and a perfectly measured sense of time, this small-scale super sento (a modern style of large public bath facility unique to Japan) delivers a new kind of bathing experience that cannot be found at home. Thoughtfully designed to embrace comfort without excess, it brings together the essence of communal relaxation in the heart of the city.

Located within “iiyu HAMACHO”, a 10-story mixed-use building that combines a super sento on the 1st to 3rd floors and a 28-unit residential complex above, the project aims to create a place of rest and connection for a diverse range of people—from local residents and office workers to neighborhood visitors. It aspires to become a new cultural hub of comfort, communication, and gentle liveliness within the community.
